Student Chapter & Local Section Leader Resources

As Chair of the Membership & Education Services Council, I’d like to thank you for being an active member of the Optical Society of America.  Student Chapters and Local Sections are vital parts of the OSA community, and are responsible for an impressive list of activities from hosting local meetings focused on technical topics and business networking events, to reaching out to help young students learn about science and the world of optics. This work energizes the field, and helps to inspire the next generation of scientists and business leaders.

OSA’s national organization works to support chapters and sections through a variety of resources, funding opportunities, special events and more. I encourage you to explore these Web pages to learn about the many benefits that are available to your organization. I also hope you will provide me with feedback on the resources that are most useful, along with suggestions on ways these services can be improved.
