About the Speaker
Pablo Ziperovich is the General Manager of the Azure Memory and Storage Center of Excellence at Microsoft. In this role, he leads a team responsible for enabling and supporting device solutions for the Azure cloud. With a career deeply rooted in the storage industry, Pablo has worked extensively on Hard Disk Drives, Solid State Drives, Tape, and Optical storage systems. His expertise spans all aspects of technology, from understanding device physics, to silicon development, to driving product development. Prior to joining Microsoft, Pablo held the position of Vice President of SSD Architecture at Western Digital. His rich career includes contributions to various storage and silicon development companies. Pablo holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and he earned his Master of Science (MS) degree from UC San Diego, specializing in Communication Theory and Systems. He is also the author of 19 US patents and has published several papers on cutting-edge storage technology.
